Activities at The Hidden Valley include a guided plantation tour, bonfire & barbecue, lazing on a coracle on the private mini-lake, target shooting, bird watching, badminton, indoor board games and trekking at Devi Gudda. There are also a number of rabbits, turkeys, ducks and country chickens at The Hidden Valley.
You can opt for an jeep drive to the nearby villages and plan visits to tourist destinations close by like Belur, Halebeedu, Dharmasthala and Sringeri Mutt. A visit to the Shandy (weekly local market) - Chikmagalur on Wednesday, Mudigere on Friday, Aldur on Saturday and Handi on Sunday, will be a worthwhile experience.
The activities at The Hidden Valley will make your holiday fun-filled and relaxed at the same time. 30 acres of coffee estate surround you, making your experience with nature a unique and enjoyable one.
Pack in a pair of sturdy walking shoes, and maybe a warm coat during the monsoon season. Also, if ornithology is a passion with you, grab a copy of your bird watching guide as there are plenty of birds to spy.
What you can do at The Hidden Valley
Boat ride. You can enjoy a ride on the pedal boat, which can seat four people at a time, on the mini lake. We advise you to wear life jackets. If you choose, you could also wade around in the water with your life jackets on.


Sitting around roaring fire in the evening is the best way to spend an evening during your holiday.
The bonfire and barbecue is done every Saturday or for a minimum group of four on a weekday.

Devi Gudda is the tallest peak standing majestically in cluster of hills, 12km from The Hidden Valley. The curvy drive to the foot hill of Devi Gudda is charming as you pass the plantations in all their greenery.
You may park your vehicle at the foot of the hill and start climbing. Again, vast coffee plantations surround you on both sides.
A 2km walk and you are at the peak of Devi Gudda, which has an unobstructed 360° view of the range of hills. It is an enchanting experience to stand among the clouds.
If you are lucky you may spot a few wild animals. Peacocks and bison are a common sight.
The guide charges are INR 50 per person with a minimum payment of INR 300.
A jeep drive to the top of the peak is subject to availability and dependent on road condition – INR 100 per person with a minimum payment of INR 500.
The season for white water rafting in river Bhadra, between Magundi and Balehole is from June to October every year. We can organise the rafting and guide you to the spot.
The charges for 8 km distance, one and half hour duration is INR 1000 per person.
Kayaking is available from October to June. The charges are INR 450 per person.
Water sports of various kinds can be organized at Yagachi Dam, near Belur.

Jeep Charges: INR 10 per kilometer
(Temple visits and sightseeing) by making The Hidden Valley as a base camp.
Belur and Halebeedu: Leave after breakfast and visit the world famous heritage temples. You can then return to The Hidden Valley for lunch.
Chikmagalur: Leave after breakfast and visit places like Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, Ranganabetta and Mullayanaperi (highest peak in Karnataka) or play a round of golf at the Chikmagalur Golf Club. Click here for more details.
Dharmastala & Subramanya: Leave Early morning and reach Subramanya temple via Sakleshpur. Thereafter proceed to Dharmastala where you can have darshan, lunch and return to The Hidden Valley via Ujre, the enchanting Charmadi Ghats, Mudigere, before dinner.
Kalasa, Hornadu and Sringeri: Leave early morning to Kalasa / Hornadu and thereafter leave for Sringeri where you can have darshan and lunch. Return to The Hidden Valley via Balehonnur by dinner time.
Mudigere: Find a few hours to wander around the small town of Mudigere. Buy the choicest cardamom, pepper and coffee and enjoy the local cuisine. If you are an an affilated member of The Mudigere club, you may enjoy their hospitality. This club is 25 years old.
